How to Treat Debridement Wound

By Dr. Mital John at 2011-01-29 05:21:30
What is debridement of wounds? Debridement involves the removal of dead, devitaliziranog or contaminated tissue and foreign material from the wound, and is an important initial step in the preparation of the wound. Unsustainable tissue has a collective name of necrotic tissue or glib. Necrotic material is seen as black or brown colored fabric. Places where the necrotic tissue is yellow and fibrinozno often referred to as mud. When the tissue is dried and made into a thickening of the skin as it leads to Escher.

Why necrotic tissue accumulates in chronic wound?

"Necrotic burden" is a term covering necrotic material, unsustainable tissue, exudates and large numbers of bacteria. Necrotic burden is heavier continuous accumulation in chronic wound until the wound is a type of general result nekorigiranog and pathological events such as diabetes or venous insufficiency. Often it is not possible to completely solve these systemic problems, so that an efficient preparation of the wound becomes crucial to help the successful closure of the wound.

Why is it important debridement?

Removal of necrotic tissue debridement is of great importance for many reasons. First, the dead tissue in the wound to reduce the ability of clinicians to adequately determine the depth of the wound or condition of the surrounding tissue. Hidden dead space can breed bacteria and increase the risk of local infection. Second, necrotic tissue may mask signs of local infection. Finally, the presence of necrotic tissue is a physical barrier treatment and support significant bacterial growth. Bacterial colonies, which are often present in the necrotic tissue, may produce harmful proteases, which cleave the major components of extracellular matrix and thus have a negative impact on the formation of granulation tissue and reepitelizaciju.

Therefore, the process debridement reduces contamination of wounds or the removal of cellular contents thereby reducing tissue destruction.

Tips:

1. Gunshot wounds are puncture wounds and are typically treated the same. Don't expect to be able to tell the difference between entrance and exit gunshot wounds. There's no reliable way to tell and it doesn't matter.
2. Bullets are unpredictable, and can bounce around the inside of a victim. A gunshot wound on one side of the body that lines up with a gunshot wound on the other side of the body may or may not be connected by a straight line. Various dynamics affect the path a round may follow.
3. The tissue damage (overall injury) caused by a projectile is determined by multiplying the mass (weight) of the round by the velocity of the round squared. Since the speed of the round is squared in this equation, doubling the speed quadruples the energy and the damage.
