When we have a headache, most of us want fast relief from the pain caused by tension, sinus or migraine headaches. There are many options for fast relief of headaches including, over-the-counter medications, prescription medications and homeopathic remedies.
Here are several suggested remedies, many of which are easily made at home:
• Take one teaspoon of almond oil and heat; when it has cooled sufficiently, place two drops of the oil in each nostril. • Instead you can also use some common household remedies for headache relief. Apply the paste of clove and salt crystals made in milk. Salt which is a hygroscopic agent absorbs the fluid and decreases all your tension and headache. • Rub mixture containing one teaspoon of cinnamon oil and a quarter of a teaspoon of clove powder into the site of the pain. • Place a wet cloth on the neck. • Try an oil massage on your scalp; some suggested oils include sesame and almond. • Do a headstand only if it is before dawn or after dusk and you have an empty stomach? • Diet is also an important component in the fight against headaches. • For headache that is caused by the heat of the sun, use henna flowers. Make a plaster of henna flowers mixed in vinegar and apply it over the forehead to get the relief.
