Causes of Female Hair Loss - Hair Loss Advice

Are you concerned because you have recently noticed that you lose hair and is very interested in what are the causes of female hair loss. There are many causes, each of which may be responsible for you losing your hair.

Anyone at any age can begin to lose their hair. Some of the causes are stress, anxiety, vitamins and mineral deficiencies, hormonal fluctuations, progress of the disease, familial tendencies smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.

Women never used to get the attention it deserved when it came to hair loss. But times have changed and now women are almost as many choices as men do when it comes to treating hair loss. No more hiding under a wig. Some products for men should not be taken or even handled by the women of the time carry the child because they can cause serious birth defects. So if you lose your hair I do not think you can use any old thing that the kids do it because it can be very harmful to you and your unborn child.

Stress and anxiety, while seemingly unchecked, can be controlled and reduced by learning techniques to reduce the amount of stress and anxiety in your life. Making time for yourself and design of simple things like manicure, pedicure and full body massage every month or more frequently if needed, will help greatly to reduce the amount of stress should be dealt with on a daily basis.

Make sure you eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables to get vitamins and minerals you need each day. If you're worried that you may not be getting the vitamins and minerals you need daily, then my advice is to talk with your doctor the next time you go to see what we recommend as a good vitamin supplement.

Hormone fluctuations, especially menopause, are one of the most common causes of female hair loss. The menopause causes so many other symptoms that initially you may not even notice the hair loss, because you're so caught up in flushing, dizziness, nausea, headache and insomnia are not sure what the end most of the time. Then you begin to notice that brushing your hair has more hair in it after use. Not that this means that it is too late to do anything for hair loss by any means. You can still find cure for baldness by talking to your doctor.

Cigarette smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can contribute to hair loss because they can destroy the system of important vitamins and minerals not to mention the fact that cigarettes impede blood flow to areas of the body such as hands, feet, legs and scalp head. If blood flow is restricted then to areas starved for nutrients and become unhealthy. Once the follicles become unhealthy, they can not recover and subsequently die. When you die the follicles can not keep their hair longer and the hair falls out.

If you have a condition called low thyroid or hypothyroidism, may be another cause of hair loss, especially in women. Your doctor may order a blood test that will tell you if you have hypothyroidism and can prescribe medication to increase thyroid function.
